The negotiation process can be long and complex and an unprepared exporter is vulnerable at every turn. What you'll learn Chris Knepler, Austrade's USA Technology Team Leader, and Jarmal Richard, principal of jdrlegal, a Melbourne-based international legal firm, will cover the following topics at this seminar: - Protecting your intellectual property (IP) in the USA Optional Workshop - Structuring licensing or partnering deals in the USA This workshop, immediately following the seminar, will provide a limited number of participants with some practical advice on structuring a licensing or partnering deal in the USA. Chris and Jarmal will provide templates and sample agreements to participants and facilitate a discussion on common mistakes and corrective actions in deal negotiation in the USA. Participants are invited to submit questions for discussion at the workshop when they register. Register early as places are limited. Individual consultations Chris and Jarmal will be available for individual consultations with exporters requiring US marketing or IP advice.
